Who we are
Bellwether International FZC, registered at SAIF Zone Q1-04-109/B, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Enquiries about this policy can be sent through the contact page.
What we collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, company, email address, telephone number, country and the content of any enquiry or quotation request you submit.
We also collect limited technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.
Why we use it
To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations; to perform contracts and arrange shipment and documentation; to carry out counterparty screening and sanctions checks; and to comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use enquiry data for unrelated marketing without consent.
Who we share it with
Personal data may be shared with group companies, including MEA Energy Trading, and with service providers acting on our instructions (hosting, email, freight forwarders, inspection agencies, banks and legal advisers), strictly as required to fulfil the purposes above.
International transfers
As an international trading group, we transfer data between the United Arab Emirates and the countries in which our counterparties and service providers operate. Appropriate contractual safeguards are applied to such transfers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for as long as necessary to respond and for a reasonable commercial follow-up period. Transaction records are retained for the periods required by applicable trade, tax and anti-money-laundering legislation.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Requests can be submitted through the contact page.
Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport, access controls and supplier due diligence. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
