Sustainability & ethics
Handled as an operating constraint.
Bellwether trades hydrocarbons. We are not going to claim otherwise. What we can control is product specification, freight efficiency and the conduct of everyone in the chain.
Commitments
What we actually control
Fuel quality
We prioritise compliant, lower-sulphur grades.
Where a market permits both, we supply the cleaner specification. In West Africa in particular, product quality on discharge is tested rather than assumed.
Freight efficiency
Consolidation is an emissions decision as well as a cost one.
Multi-vendor packages shipped as one consignment reduce voyages, road movements and idle inventory across the chain.
Supply chain conduct
Counterparties are screened before, not after.
Suppliers and buyers are assessed for sanctions exposure, provenance and documentary integrity as part of pre-qualification.
Transition products
Sustainable aviation fuel, ethanol and biodiesel are traded lines, not pledges.
These sit in the energy book alongside conventional grades and are offered wherever a buyer's specification and regulation allow.
